库布齐沙漠是中国第七大沙漠，“库布其”为蒙古语，意思是弓上的弦，因为它处在黄河下像一根挂在黄河上的弦，因此得名。位于内蒙古鄂尔多斯高原达拉特旗。总面积约145万公顷，流动沙丘约占61%，长400公里，宽50公里，沙丘高10—60米，像一条黄龙横卧在鄂尔多斯高原北部。 Ku Buqi desert is the 7th largest desert in China. It sits in Da Late banner, Erdos, Inner Mongolia. "Ku Buqi" is the Mongolian language. It means the bowstring of the arch. 'Cause it crouches near the south of the Yellow River like a bowstring hanging on the Yellow River. It's about 145 hactares. The moving dune occupied 61% of the desert. The length of the desert is about 400 kilometers. The width is 50 kilometers. The height of the dunes is between 10 to 60 meters. It's like a dragon crouching in the north part of Erdos Plateau.
据统计，参加此次库布齐沙漠穿越的人数多达五千多人，我们团队中最小的驴友只有五岁，感谢摄影师、领队的辛勤付出、感谢队友的相互照顾。 It is estimated that there were more than 5000 thousands of people participating in crossing the desert. The youngest one is 5 years old. Thanks for the photographer, leader' hardwork and our teammates' care and cooperation.
第一次参加穿越沙漠徒步，总行程12.79公里，这次活动的目的是检验自己的耐力与意志力，通过这次活动让我的意志变得更加坚强，同时也体现了团队合作精神，感谢西北户外组织此次活动，让我认识到人的潜能是无限的。 It's the first time for me to take part in the desert crossing. The aim is to my strengthen the endurance, persistance, and cooperation. Thanks for Xibei Outdoors. It lets me realize that one's potential is unlimited.
